Biography

Born in the Lazio region, spends his adolescence and early youth in Sabaudia, in the Agro Pontino area (Sabaudia - Rome, Italy).

Professional journalist and writer, now living and working in Florence. He reviews litterary works for italian magazines such as "Nuova Antologia" and "Rivista di Studi Italiani"; he currently coworks with the florentine edition of the italian newspaper "Corriere della Sera". 

CURRICULUM VITAE

 

  • In the 60's cooperates with magazines such as “Il Ponte”, “Mondo Operaio” and “Il Mondo” (while directed by Arrigo Benedetti).
  • From 1966 to 1974, Editor of the italian newspaper "Avanti!" - initially as correspondent from Tuscany, later based in Rome.
  • In those some years, he was press officer for the Health Ministry, Luigi Mariotti, in the period of the Hospitals Reform approval.
  • From 1974 to 1978 press officer and spokesman of the President of the Regional Council of Tuscany, Lelio Lagorio.
  • From 1974 to 1983 editor-in-chief of "Città & Regione", a magazine for political science, institutional problems and culture. At the same time, until 1984, director of a bi-monthly academic magazine of theatrical studies, "Quaderni di teatro".
  • He coworks with magazines such as "Il Ponte", "Mondo Operaio" and "Il Mondo" (when Arrigo Benedetti was its director).
  • In 1978 he becomes editor of RAI-Radiotelevisione Italiana. For RAI's DE (a network which broadcasted programs for Italians abroad), he holds a column on the activities of the Italian Cultural Institutes; for GR3 (RAI Radio-Journal), a column in the Italian magazines of contemporary literature.
  • In the 70-80's, for the Publishing House “Le Monnier”, he manages and coordinates a bookcase on the subject of Europe, “Pianeta Europa Libri” (scientific committee Franco Foschi, Lelio Lagorio, Giovanni Spadolini).
  • In the early 1970s his first books come out, which since succeeded in the multiple fields of his interest (poetry, theatre and narrative texts). Numerous translations of his works have been made in foreign countries.
